Iglesia San Vicente Ferrer de los Domínicos – Architecture

The San Vicente Ferrer church, a local architectural landmark, is characterized by its two symmetrical square towers, with copper domes evoking Byzantine art that are crowned with angels with trumpets, one on each side of the main access to the nave, and clay tile roofs.

The temple comprises one single nave and four semicircular arches inside. The most elevated part of the nave has the altar and the monk choir, and the lowest part is dedicated to the worshippers, everything converging into the altar. Large windows illuminate the inside of the church, above all the altar.

The church has adobe walls, a roof formed by large exposed wooden beams, exposed wooden roof structure, wrought iron bars, clay floor and large blackened wooden gates.
